Game has revealed that working with his mentor Dr Dre again was the “happiest time of [his] career.”

Dre and Game lost contact with each other when Game fell out with 50 Cent back in 2005. The two decided to get their friendship back on track earlier this year and headed straight for the studio. Speaking about their friendship to XXL Magazine, Game said: “We started working on The R.E.D. Album, and some of the songs we did for The R.E.D. Album he snatched for Detox.”

“Then we worked on some more, and he gave me more for R.E.D. At that time, I was probably the happiest I was in my career. Back working with Dre. Working really closely. Our relationship has always been real easygoing, man. Especially when it comes to the music,” Game continued.

With 97,879 copies sold since it was released on August 23rd, Game’s fourth studio project ‘R.E.D. Album.’ dethroned Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch The Throne as the #1 album on the Billboard 200 chart. The ‘R.E.D. Album.’ is Game’s third chart topping debut following 2005′s The Documentary and 2007′s Doctor’s Advocate which both went on to sell millions of copies worldwide. Game’s last album, LAX, started at #2 in 2008 and went on to gold certification.

“It feels amazing to be back on top,” exclaims Game. “My fans are incredibly loyal. I was able to step away from music for some much needed personal time with my family and now that I’ve returned with a new album, they’ve come out strong to support me. I wouldn’t be where I am today without my fans. Period.”

Game is dropping the mic and picking the proverbial pen to document the making of his ‘R.E.D. Album.’

“With my book, ‘The Making of Game’s The R.E.D. Album,’ I wanted to give my fans a behind-the-scenes look of how my new album came to be,” Game says. Music journalist Soren Baker — who has previously worked as an editor at The Source magazine — worked alongside the ‘Good Girls Go Bad’ rapper to craft the project.

“These are my stories in my own words,” Game says. “This book is the only place where you’ll learn all the stories behind the music – how I got the beats, what inspired my lyrics and how the album was put together.”

The book will feature memories and anecdotes from Game as well as his collaboration with the likes of Rick Ross and Pharrell Williams. The book will also touch on Game’s work with Dr. Dre, why Dre let Game use their track, ‘Drug Test,’ instead of putting it on ‘Detox’ and the true story behind their controversial, violence-tinged track, ‘Red Nation.’ (Boombox)

Dubcnn had the fantastic opportunity to catch up with Game a few days before the release of his long awaited fourth solo release, the “R.E.D. Album”. Game talks to us about the possibility of making a “Watch The Throne” for the West Coast, shooting the “Pot Of Gold” video with Chris Brown, and how he really could care less what people think of him or what they say about him.

Dropping on August 23rd 2011, R.E.D. marks Game’s reunion with mentor Dr. Dre, who narrates the album, and Game explains his role to us.

He also speaks on working closely with Lil Wayne and the possiblity of joining Cash Money Records. He touches on Interscope’s stance on the “R.E.D. Album” after the numerous pushbacks and the role Pharrell played as the executive producer.

“Anytime you got Dr. Dre featured or a part of anything you do musically, it’s going to be crazy. Shout out to the good Doc for always holding it down, the whole Aftermath camp, it’s always love. The Doc is the man, he comes through for me anytime and I appreciate him and all of his efforts. That’s why I’m in there, helping him grind to get to where Detox can hit the shelf.” (Game)

Despite having his first single’s music video “Red Nation” banned from major Viacom television networks MTV and BET, Game doesn’t see anything as distractions for his forthcoming fourth solo album, The R.E.D. Album.

“The album changes, the dates change, the climate changes, Interscope changed and went in another direction for a minute and then they come back,” Game told VIBE. “It’s just the business; shit gets pushed back. Either wait for it or don’t buy it. I don’t give a fuck. I never beg anybody to buy my albums.”

With his “I-don’t-give-a-fuck” attitude still intact, Interscope’s borderline bi-polar threat has quietly been crafting one of the most anticipated albums of his career. After releasing his last two albums without the assistance of Dr. Dre, The R.E.D. Album reunited the teacher and student.

“I think the people will appreciate the collaborations. Dr. Dre is actually rapping on this album. This is the first album that I’ve ever dropped where I have Dr. Dre’s voice actually on the album. Features range from Snoop Dogg to Pharrell to Wiz to Trey Songz to Chris Brown, and Drake’s on the album. I got a good cast of all-stars.”

Game continued: “There’s a song where I kill my dad on a Dre beat. You won’t be able to understand it until you hear it. It’s sort of like a dream, but I wish it would’ve came true when I was a kid, so I kind of lived it out. It’s over this eerie Dr. Dre and it’s hard as shit. When you hear it you’ll be like ‘Damn this is crazy.’

Fans can also expect to hear an unexpected collabo to pop up on the new LP. The R.E.D. Album drops on August 23rd.
