Dizzy, but tryin to stay focused….With Obie’s album coming out, going out every weekend doing Shows to promote Shady Records, 8 Mile movie, 50 Cent and D12 back in the lab recording their 2nd LP….shit is getting crazy

Maybe you can tell us a little about you. Where do you come from? How long have you been in the game for?
DJ Salam Wreck:
I was born in Flint, Michigan….but i moved to Cali when i was little…..I grew up out West, Mostly in the Bay Area My Brother Fredwreck moved from San Jose to LA i stayed out there for a minute……..but i came back to Michigan finished college and here i am……Running shit with the Dozen…..it’s been like 11-12yrs in the game…. since like 1990

DJ Salam Wreck:
My BIG BRO FREDDIE!…..That’s my brother. Alot of what i know today is all cuz of him. He got me into all this music stuff……it’s like he introduced me to a new drug. I’ve been addicted off that first Hit!

There’re a lot of DJ’s around putting out mixtapes. What do you think, what would describe your style as a mixtape DJ?
DJ Salam Wreck:
I really don’t have a style…….I just do whatever sounds good…..u gotta keep your mix tapes movin these days you don’t wanna lose your listeners attention….nothing worst then a boring mix tape

Tell us a little bit about your new mixtape ‘Murder Mitten’. How do you choose what tracks will be featured on your tapes?
DJ Salam Wreck:
I accept music and freestyles from anyone……i don’t just focus on artists on major labels, if your shit is dope i’m gonna use it. My mix tape is more like a music movie……

What can we expect from Wreck TV?
DJ Salam Wreck:
Wreck TV is gonna be of a more behind the scenes look at the D12 and the Iron Fist Camp. Us in the studio working on songs to us at home chillin with our families, a more up-close and personal look at this Big thing we’re apart of.

Are you signed on Shady or what type of relation you got to the label?
DJ Salam Wreck:
I’m not signed on Shady, But I love everyone over there……They are some of the Best People i have met through out my travels in life. Em, Paul, Marc, Tracy, Riggs, Neil, Nelson….everybody they really worked hard to get where there at today…

Please tell us a little bit about your work with Big Proof or Obie Trice. Whats up with Obie’s release? Did u produce some tracks for Obie?
DJ Salam Wreck:
I didn’t produce any joints on Obie’s album, My brother had done 2 songs….O’s album is crazy he got’s em, D12, Timberland, Dr Dre……It sounds good! Proof’s album is still being worked on…..When people hear his shit, there gonna see a different side of Proof.

Aftermath / Shady 2003 – Do you think, there’re the best artists and producers in the game? I mean, we have Eminem, Cube, Rakim, Dre, 50 and young talented cats like Brooklyn or Joe Beast. Are you goin to work with some artists in the near future?
DJ Salam Wreck:
I hope to work with all of them…..Em and Dre have reinvented to music industry, being apart of that is a blessing

Rakim – for me the best lyricist in the game. Do you have any information about his release “Oh my God”? Maybe a release date, features or other interesting facts? Which releases can we expect from Aftermath / Shady this year?
DJ Salam Wreck:
I’m not sure when Rakim’s new album will be released, Shady has plans for Obie Trice to drop this summer and D12 2nd lp to be released this fall. Then a G-Unit album will be coming in the Winter…..it’s gonna be poppin off for a while

What’s your opinion on the state of the game right now?

Alot of shit is Just the same thing over and over……Same lines, Same hooks……There’s no Substance

In Europe it’s hard to get the mixtapes from you? What can we do to promote your tapes in Germany or Europe too? Are you looking for some internet sites to promote and sell your tapes?
DJ Salam Wreck:
Fo Sho, I have a website Store which will be opening soon….i’ll have mix tapes, clothes, dvd’s ….you name it!

You know, Eminem, 50, X, Cypress Hill are coming to europe this summer. Are you goin on tour with them, too? What can we expect from the Anger Management Tour Europe?

Hopefully, That’s gonna be a crazy three weeks overseas

Whats your thoughts about the Murder Inc vs Aftermath/Shady Beef? I mean, Em is a genius and he`ll kill Ja Rule lyrically. Do you agree?
