Eminem: “Relapse: Refill”

Eminem has announced that he’ll release Relapse Refill next month. He had planned to release Relapse 2 this year but it now seems that he will simply re-release his most recent album in deluxe format with an extra disc. The album will feature seven new songs with production coming from Just Blaze and Mr Porter.
Titled Relapse: Refill, the disc will feature seven new tracks including “Forever” featuring Drake, Kanye West and Lil Wayne, the DJ Hero bonus cut “Take My Ball” and five never-released songs.
“I want to deliver more material for the fans this year like I originally planned,” Em said in a press release. “Hopefully these tracks on the Refill will tide the fans over until we put out Relapse 2 next year.”
Eminem explained that he needed more time to finish the sequel disc. “I got back in with Dre and then a few more producers, including Just Blaze, and went in a completely different direction which made me start from scratch,” Shady said. “The new tracks started to sound very different than the tracks I originally intended to be on Relapse 2, but I still want the other stuff to be heard.”

Massive fan and yes its great, some new Em songs coming. But to be missing 4/5 years, come out earlier in the year saying he has enough material for 2 or more albums and now announce this… disappointing. Should have dropped a double in the first place!
What happen to Relapse is more like slim shady album and relapse 2 will be more marshall mathers album driven?? As i said disappointing, fans have been hanging on this shit and we get told this.
I hope there will be more than the 7 new songs (read this over the net at several spots but could be bullshit + what does that mean only 5 new song and 2 skits)

this is a good idea, cause honestly I think relapse 2 would have sucked. Just Blaze + Eminem just does not seem right and I think it would have been lame. This way it isn’t considered a full album release and he will focus on a better full release album for 2010 or 2011 but fans will still get some new content to hold them over.
Finally, drop this shit and get ur career buried so we can move on to the new fuckin artists. bishop and dre next year and lets start the new decade with new artists…not this relapse, refill, rehash crap

This kind of sucks, but oh well at least we get some new em music to tide us over. He had all the lyrics written for realapse 2 but hadn’t mastered the tracks yet, so when he hooked back up with dre he got re-inspired and decided to alter and remake relapse 2. I’m cool with that, I believe in Marshall.
At least a real 6th album will come up in 2010.
I think Em made his original Relapse 2 with the same sound as Relapse, but fans forgot his Slim Shady persona has this funny accent and bashed him because of that.
The lyrical genius will only come even better with more work into it!

think of this as an EP with an extra album that comes with it. cuz back in the day, like the eazy-e and nwa days, they would put out ep’s of like 5-7 songs, rather than whole albums. more recently, think of cashis’ “county hound” ep. but with this ep, it comes with an extra album. and that infinite 2 album was the original name of the relapse album. what i would like to see, is he release the original infinite album along with the relapse 2 album. like a bonus disc. cuz i’m from hawaii, and we didnt get the chance to buy that album from back in the day. and when the FCK is d12 coming out. they need to put that record out real soon. you got royce fkn with other niggaz from all over, when he need to be getting down with d12, for proof’s sake. dont get me wrong, slaughter house all day, but he could really blow the fck up with d12. he would do d12 more justice than snoop tried for nwa. not saying to take proof’s place, but dont they need six niggaz to complete dirty “dozen”?. rip BIG PROOF

I’m getting really tired of this “re-release” nonsense. When a person buys an album, he expects that he is getting the definitive copy of that album — not a stripped-down or second-rate version. If you greedy pigs in the record industry want to capitalize off an album’s success with a new issue, at least standardize it so that the “Refill” version of “Relapse,” for example, looks the original.
