Bishop Lamont has been hard at work lately. He’s been in the studio night and day recording music in preparation for an explosive 2009 for Aftermath Records. “Grow Up” is the first official single from The Reformation, the first studio album by Bishop Lamont. The song is produced by Dr. Dre.
For those of you that did not listen to it the 1st time around, please listen to his single by clicking here from his long awaited album “The Reformation”. Production credits will include Dr. Dre, Focus…, DJ Khalil, Battlecat, DJ Premier, Scott Storch, Lord Finesse, Diverse, Pete Rock and others. “Fans can expect a complete journey into my world. With the street albums and mix-tapes fans can get bits and pieces and certain themes from certain parts of my brain. But with the album you’ll get the right and left sides.” Dr. Dre and Bishop Lamont will have their hands full preparing for a new era of Aftermath and counting down to Bishop and Dre’s respective 2009 releases! Hope it will definitely come out before the end of 2008. I’m listening to hip hop since the release of Public Enemy’s It Take A Nation Of Million To Hold Us Back, back in 1988, and Bishop Lamont is the best, smartest and most consistent artist to emerge in the rap game since a very long time. Maaaan, can we PLEASE get The Reformation? The Pope Mobile, Nigger Noize, Caltroit, The Confessional…. all DOOOOPE albums in their own right (especially Caltroit)… but, we NEED The Reformation… Hiphop NEEDS it….. Please Aftermath, don’t let Bishop become another shelved artist that never comes out.

Sound like a weak version of Game. Dre – Just get Game….please!! It will be an uphill battle to make Detox good without the hardest hitter on the WestCoast. Its a mistake not to use him. Either ways Eazy E’s first album and the Chronic are the best albums ever made.
