Eminem has announced that he’ll release Relapse Refill next month. He had planned to release Relapse 2 this year but it now seems that he will simply re-release his most recent album in deluxe format with an extra disc. The album will feature seven new songs with production coming from Just Blaze and Mr Porter.

Titled Relapse: Refill, the disc will feature seven new tracks including “Forever” featuring Drake, Kanye West and Lil Wayne, the DJ Hero bonus cut “Take My Ball” and five never-released songs.

“I want to deliver more material for the fans this year like I originally planned,” Em said in a press release. “Hopefully these tracks on the Refill will tide the fans over until we put out Relapse 2 next year.”

Eminem explained that he needed more time to finish the sequel disc. “I got back in with Dre and then a few more producers, including Just Blaze, and went in a completely different direction which made me start from scratch,” Shady said. “The new tracks started to sound very different than the tracks I originally intended to be on Relapse 2, but I still want the other stuff to be heard.”

Relapse: Refill will hit stores on December 22. Pre-order the album here.

Along with Tim Kash, 50 thumbs through his solo catalogue. The guy’s got hits for days.

Get Rich or Die Tryin’
“Largest debuting hip-hop album. [The guy on the cover], oh, he’s crazy. I mean, so much was going on at this point when I was writing this record. I had war chants like ‘Many Men’ … ‘P.I.M.P.,’ I was exposed to that lifestyle — I actually gave confirmation on Before I Self Destruct with ‘Stretch’ where I kinda explained where I was exposed to that on that record: ‘Like a pimp, me I was in the passenger seat.’ So I wrote the things, why these things were relevant to me, from this album onto the latest CD. You know I only recorded with Em and Dre for six days on this album? You can do a lot in six days, man!”

The Massacre
“[In] 2005 I was about 15 pounds heavier. I had to draw my muscles on. I got fat while I was doing the tour. And, umm … I overwrote this album. Yeah. It’s 22 cuts, the maximum playing time on a single CD. Technically it’s a double-disc. You know, I had so much going on creatively at that point that I also wrote the hit music that was on Game’s effort, you know, doing this project.”

Curtis
“This right here is my artist album — Curtis, album three. I had to name this album Curtis. My grandfather’s Curtis Sr., his first born is Curtis Jr., I’m his first grandchild, I’m Curtis James Jackson III. And that’s why my third album is titled Curtis. I attempted to make this album human. That was my outline for what the record should be. I wrote ‘Straight to the Bank,’ I put laughter in the record — that was one of three records. I wrote what I felt what was representation of joy. I wrote ‘I Still Kill’ featuring Akon. ‘I Still Kill’ had the aggression, anger. ‘Ayo Technology’ was love, sex. I put a lot of different things into this album, and I found a new place musically collaborating with all the talented artists on this project. What’s interesting is I came up with the concept before Before I Self Destruct and wrote four demo tracks before I decided to go with Curtis because I knew Before I Self Destruct would impact harder behind this.”

Before I Self Destruct
“Finally, album four, Before I Self Destruct — I’m deeming this classic here. I didn’t overwrite it. It’s got 15 cuts, 16 is the bonus with R. Kelly, ‘Could Have Been You.’ I pick and choose my moments on this actual record. I finally found a balance of what I feel like a great album is — and this is representation of it right here. I knew what my singles were before we even got started. I came into it and said, ‘This is going to work, I’m going to do “Baby by Me” and then I’m going to explain what happens when that doesn’t work, when a relationship doesn’t work. And then I’m going to go here, get it hot.’ And people don’t understand the transition and difference between Curtis and Before I Self Destruct.

A glimmer of hope is on the horizon for fans still waiting for Dr. Dre’s mythical Detox album to drop. Game recently told XXLMag.com that he and Dre are hard at work on both Detox and his own album, The R.E.D. Giving insight into the production legend’s work ethic, Chuck Taylor said composing with Dre is a slow process.

“If you get in the studio with Dre you best be prepared to be there for a long time ’cause he gonna coach you word for word until he gets you to 100 percent where he wants it to be,” he said. “You gonna be in there all night working on one verse. “

“We recording every single day working on Detox and working on The R.E.D. album,” he revealed. “It just feels good for me to be back in the studio with the big homie and working on my project.”

Game also shared that Dre will make the ultimate decision on which songs that come out of the simultaneous Detox/R.E.D. recording sessions will go on which project. According to Game, Doc’s track record speaks for itself like his previous releases, The Chronic and The Chronic 2001.

“Man, I can’t even describe [2001]… I would just say it’s a classic West Coast album but it was world-renowned and it had an international appeal, like who from where didn’t f*ck with that album?,” Game asked in an interview. “With 2001 he just went back to do what he do best man and that’s just trying to create the sun, moon, stars and Earth in seven days, man. The thing that stands out to me about 2001 is the same thing that stood out to me about Chronic — Dre is a perfectionist and no matter when he coughs up an album, B, they be exactly what you need. I know it seem like he be taking forever with these albums but if you think about the time that passed between the Chronic and 2001, I think Detox is just about due. So it’s not about him just making us wait, it’s his format.” (XXL Mag)

50 Cent and Dr. Dre helped Game concoct a classic album on The Documentary. And although things between Fif and Game went sour, the G-Unit General said he’s open to working with Dre again to break another MC.

“We were actually talking about a new artist, working together on a new project,” 50 Cent told MTV News. “I said, ‘Just because we had a car accident, that doesn’t mean we’re not going to drive again — it just means we had an accident with that one.’ He laughed at me. He said, ‘All right. I’ll give it a try,’ because he was unsure about how I would feel about helping with [another new artist],” he continued. “Obviously Dre can create the best possible production for the artist and groom him to the right space. But going to introduce him to the general public would be something you want 50 to go do.”

Since their falling out post-Documentary, 50 has vowed never to work with Game again. And even though Game has reunited with Dre for the Detox LP as well as his own R.E.D. Album, 50 says he wouldn’t consider jumping on a record featuring Game.

“No,” Fif said flatly when asked what his response would be to Dre’s request for a reunion collaboration. “No, I wouldn’t do it. I’d be on a record, on a song, on the [Detox] album, but not on that record [with Game]. That’s not making a song, that’s making an event — things for people to talk about. … So there’s a verse there that you think would be great for both of us, I just say, ‘Erase his verse and put something in better than that.’ “

50 briefly addressed the role Dr. Dre played in his and Game’s feud on Before I Self Destruct’s “So Disrespectful.”

“I said, ‘I gave Game hits, he told me to suck di–/ Start screamin’ Westside and Dre ain’t say sh–!’ “ 50 recited.

“It was an absolute true statement and Dre approved because it was true,” 50 continued. “He heard the record and was like, ‘Whoa! Out the park with that.’ He likes it, he doesn’t care. Creatively, you’re right, ’cause he didn’t say anything when that took place — or not anything that the public heard.”(MTV)
