With 97,879 copies sold since it was released on August 23rd, Game’s fourth studio project ‘R.E.D. Album.’ dethroned Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch The Throne as the #1 album on the Billboard 200 chart. The ‘R.E.D. Album.’ is Game’s third chart topping debut following 2005′s The Documentary and 2007′s Doctor’s Advocate which both went on to sell millions of copies worldwide. Game’s last album, LAX, started at #2 in 2008 and went on to gold certification.
“It feels amazing to be back on top,” exclaims Game. “My fans are incredibly loyal. I was able to step away from music for some much needed personal time with my family and now that I’ve returned with a new album, they’ve come out strong to support me. I wouldn’t be where I am today without my fans. Period.”
Game is dropping the mic and picking the proverbial pen to document the making of his ‘R.E.D. Album.’
“With my book, ‘The Making of Game’s The R.E.D. Album,’ I wanted to give my fans a behind-the-scenes look of how my new album came to be,” Game says. Music journalist Soren Baker — who has previously worked as an editor at The Source magazine — worked alongside the ‘Good Girls Go Bad’ rapper to craft the project.
“These are my stories in my own words,” Game says. “This book is the only place where you’ll learn all the stories behind the music – how I got the beats, what inspired my lyrics and how the album was put together.”
The book will feature memories and anecdotes from Game as well as his collaboration with the likes of Rick Ross and Pharrell Williams. The book will also touch on Game’s work with Dr. Dre, why Dre let Game use their track, ‘Drug Test,’ instead of putting it on ‘Detox’ and the true story behind their controversial, violence-tinged track, ‘Red Nation.’ (Boombox)
The book is currently available as a digital copy on Amazon.com, but will be out in print and on audio soon.

Reformation was the second album people wanted from afertmath in 2009, after dr dre detox or eminem relapse and in front of 50 cent, with over 300.000 votes, was a poll here, so why reformetion didin’t come out?

Issue got that knowledge to run a label, he thinks just like me.. first off in my opinion i say Aftermath is already over, no one can sell records under Aftermath no more, the only 1 rapper that can do is Em the Great White Hope. Dr. Dre fucked up when he sold part of his shares to Interscope. Interscope’s only concern is sales, the only reason Dre dont release any thing on Aftermath is because everything done there currently is control by Interscope. So for me, Interscope and Bad Boy Records, started fucking up hip hop, they are the reason cash/young money too over. they started with this pop shit with hip hop, the same shit Jay-Z followed. they made gangsta/hardcore/real hip hop less interesting.. back in the Days a hardcore album goes platinum within 6 months. So for Aftermath to keep in the industry they either forced they artist to go commercial, and its evident in Eminem later albums. Sale! sales is what fucked up Aftermath, and it will be the reason Detox will never come out. Dre is stupid for taking so long for Detox, in this era of internet Detox wont do Gold in first week. the perfect time was to release the shit right after Documentary, by today it would have been certified Diamond. I do believe Dre has alot of material, with different feels and direction. i also understand the market strategy he’s tryna use, but one thing am certain of is that it wont work… If Detox dont come out sounding like 2001, then it wont do any better..
As for Game, am so disappointed, it could be him, it could be the label butt fuck it i dont care.. 98 000 first week sales is disgusting for name as big as Game’s.. like in said before its about sales..
