Focus...
What happens when one of the hardest working MCs links with a Dr Dre protege…well you get some serious Hip-Hop that’s for sure. The L.E.S has never had been as promoted as it is right now, as Fokis has taken hold of the reins and is charging onward and upward.
The prolific MC has already made a name for himself with his Road to the Riches reality show, his collection of mixtapes and his collaboration with the Brick Bodega MC Joell Ortiz on Pandemonium which featured on websites, blogs and radio shows all over the world. Fokis born William Heredia is on a mission to restore faith in hot lyrics and dope beats and to do this he called on a little help from his name sake Aftermath producer Focus.
The two have come together to deliver their 20/20 EP which is set to hit the net on September 16th. The eight track EP features the recently released Do What it Do which saw Fokis linking up with Mistah Fab and Young Dre the Truth from the Bay Area and Los Angeles respectively. Also in attendance on the project you will find fellow New Yorkers Punch, Bad News and Donny Goines on the Gears of War.
“I had recorded the first track we released from the EP “Cant you See” and after that I had an idea for Focus and I to do another project together since we had a few records under our belt already,” explained Fokis on how the connection between the two musical masterminds came about. “I approached him with the idea and he said let’s go and the rest is history.”
The combination of these two like minds will undoubtedly heat up the Internet on September 16th when the 20/20 EP is unleashed on the masses.
